We had both recently come out of long term relationships. We helped each other through the hard times and our relationship grew from there. Between us we have 4 children and Sam has been my rock whilst my youngest was going through the process of being diagnosed Autistic. 

On February 15th 2023 I walked downstairs to find Sam on one knee proposing. It came as a total shock, as Sam had always said he would never marry again after his previous marriage broke down. But there he was waiting to ask me to marry him.
